Where I've Been...

I don't want to spend too much time making excuses for why I haven't posted in a long time, so I'll just do a quick little recap of where I've been. After I got back from camp I tried my best to create good healthy routines and also to sell my car. After a few weeks, I did manage to sell my car but then I got sick. It was this terrible headache, fever and also nausea. Sleep was near impossible during the worst of it and I barely moved around so I lost most of my strength. I was couch ridden for ten days and we were very confused as to what I had so we went to the doctor. They found out that I have ear infections in both of my ears which was why I had a fever but that didn't explain the terrible headache so I went to the chiropractor. She adjusted a lot of things in my spine and skull that could have been causing headaches and the next day, I was pretty much back to normal. The day that the headache left I got a chest cold which prevented me from working out for another five days. During all of this there has also been a lot of family stuff going on. There is a family staying with us and the house has been very crowded and slightly overwhelming but I'm adjusting to it all. Also there has been lots of bonding time and fun moments with the kids.

Today was the first day I could workout which was quite enjoyable and stress relieving although my strength is nothing like it used to be. I have been more sick in these past few months than I have in the past few years combined and I am so done with it. I'm definitely going to work hard to keep my immune system up now because I don't want to waste any more days laying on the couch watching television. Now that I'm better I'm going to continue my to do list of buying a car, finding a job and planning my travels for this year. Other than that, I'm creating new and improved routines, working on my health, and I'm going to find a church to get connected at so I can meet new people and have a place to worship. On the more emotional side of things, I'm feeling like I'm slowly adjusting to this crazy new situation and also learning how to balance planning and going with the flow and not stressing. I'm trying not to get too upset with myself about not starting the year off how I wanted to and just accepting that sometimes life throws your hurtles you have to jump. This was pretty much just a brain dump post to update you on what's been going on. I hope you all are doing well and that January was a lovely month for you!
